🚨SHE LEFT HER 10-MONTH-OLD GRANDDAUGHTER IN A HOT CAR FOR HOURS … A GRAND JURY HAS DECIDED SHE WILL NOT FACE CRIMINAL CHARGES. A heartbreaking case out of Madisonville, Kentucky, has reached a stunning legal conclusion. On August 13, 2026, Dr. Stacey Fazenbaker was supposed to drop her 10-month-old granddaughter, Scottie Crowell, off at daycare before heading to work. Instead, police say she drove directly to the medical facility where she worked, apparently forgetting that little Scottie was still strapped inside the vehicle. The baby remained in the car for approximately eight to nine hours. The tragedy wasn’t discovered until Scottie’s father arrived at daycare around 4 p.m. to pick up his daughter. She wasn’t there. She had never been dropped off. He contacted his wife, who called her mother. Fazenbaker reportedly rushed outside with coworkers, but by then it was too late. Little Scottie could not be saved. Now, more than two months later, a Hopkins County grand jury has declined to indict Fazenbaker, determining there was insufficient probable cause to bring criminal charges. Commonwealth’s Attorney Hannah Kington-Jarvis confirmed that Scottie’s parents were consulted throughout the investigation and grand jury process. And perhaps the most heartbreaking detail of all: Scottie was a deeply loved little girl whose parents had reportedly gone through IVF to build their family. She leaves behind her grieving parents and young brother. A baby is gone. A family is forever changed. And the grandmother will have to live with what happened for the rest of her life. The grand jury has made its decision, but this tragedy raises an incredibly difficult question: When a child dies because someone forgot they were in a vehicle, should criminal charges depend on whether the act was intentional? I think the grand jury made the right decision. What do you think?
